Little Kids My Daily Journal 2.0: A Daily Practice for Feelings & Writing
My Daily Journal 2.0 for Little Kids Ages 4–6
A Mindset, Feelings & Emotions + Nervous System Journal for Young Children
Your child’s mindset shapes how they learn, feel, and experience the world.
When big emotions, frustration, or negative self-talk show up, it can be difficult—for both kids and parents—to understand what’s happening inside.
My Daily Journal for Little Kids 2.0 was created to help children ages 4–6 build confidence, emotional awareness, and positive self-talk while also beginning to understand their feelings, body, and nervous system in a simple, supportive, and age-appropriate way.
Through short, playful daily practices (in under 5 minutes), children learn:
-
How to recognize their feelings
-
How their body gives them “clues” (like butterflies, tightness, or calm feelings)
-
That all emotions are normal, safe, and okay
A Gentle Introduction to the Nervous System
This journal introduces nervous system awareness in a way young children can understand.
Using simple language and visuals, children begin to learn:
-
Their body communicates through sensations
-
Feelings show up in their body, not just in their thoughts
-
They can notice how they feel and begin to respond
Through a simple color-based system (green, yellow, red), children are introduced to:
-
Green: calm, happy, safe
-
Yellow: wiggly, nervous, big energy
-
Red: sad, upset, shut down
This early awareness helps build the foundation for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience.

When children learn to understand their feelings and their body, they gain a powerful skill:
The ability to recognize what’s happening inside and feel safe navigating it.
And that’s where confidence begins.
